The past version of the Canyon of the Magi can be reached by killing Zoltun Kulle next to the Horadric Staff's Orifice in the True Tomb of Tal Rasha. Upon death, he opens a portal to the much smaller than the present version of the Canyon of the Magi, and once there the player will play Baal's role in a reenactment of his battle against Tal Rasha.
