The Black Abyss is the entry zone of the Void uberlevel complex, accessed by killing The Prophet in the Chapel of Vanity on Hell difficulty. Its exit leads to the Plane of Sloth, the second area of the Void complex and the first one that houses a boss. These areas are home to slow-moving chests that spawn Darkspawn, and are the only places in the game where Enchanting Crystals might be found.
