Loot Filter
Info
Patch 2.10 adds loot filter functionality to median-xl, along with notable features:
- Toggle show loot hotkey (always show): Whether you want loot always shown after pressing the hotkey (enabled) or just shown when you press the hotkey (disabled). Compared to D2stats always show -option, this implementation allows the use of doors and waypoints even though loot is visible on the screen.
- No Loot Filter in Town: Disables active configuration when in a town, for muling and trading purposes.
How to Access
- Loot filter settings are within the game settings. Start by pressing Escape and then opening Game settings. You will see Loot Filter Settings as the third option on the left.
- You are greeted by a mostly empty window. At the top, we have 3 actions:
-New Configuration -Import Configuration from Clipboard -Dropdown for Current Configuration
- If you are just starting Median XL, you might want to look at the community configurations to use a baseline for your own filter/notifier!
How to import configurations
Configurations are stored in a prettified JSON-format. To import them, you must select the entire contents of a configuration and then copy it, so it is stored in your clipboard. With it being there, you can go into the game and click on the second button from the top, Import configuration from clipboard. This will create a new configuration into the dropdown that you can then select as active.
Creating and editing configurations
Once you have either created a new configuration or imported it from your clipboard and have selected it from the dropdown, a whole new area becomes available!
Adding/Modifying Rules
FAQ
Ordering of the rules First button when you hover over a rule lets you move the rule around. If there are two rules that overlap, top one will win that battle, i.e. you’re hiding all normal items but want to see just the ethereal ones, have the ethereal rule above the “hide normal” rule and It Just Works™. Sounds Being looked into D2Stats With patch 2.10, filtering portion of D2stats will stop working. The notifier will still work though, in case you want to keep using D2stats. Injecting the filter is a thing of the past! Elements in interface are overlapping D2GL HD Font interferes with UI elements in a way that’s not predictable. If the interface is unusable with HD font on, we recommend you disable it to make your edits and then enable it again after.
